Navajo rugs and blankets are produced by the Navajo people of the American Southwest. Originally woven for utilitarian purposes as blankets and rugs, cloaks, saddle blankets and other similar purposes, Navajo blankets have been highly regarded and traded as an important part of the Navajo economy. Typically containing bold geometric shapes, some blankets have Chief’s design (with stripes) and Yei figures (spirit deities of the Navajo Nation) associated with the forces of nature. We also carry Navajo jewelry, baskets, and other artifacts
