Modoc

The Modoc territory encompassed all of Lost River, Clear lake and Tule Lake and the southern portion of Klamath Llake, past the falls. The Lost River and its system of lakes and marshes was their main homeland.

The Modoc Indians focused primarily on twining to make their baskets from the surface fiber of tule or bulrush.
